
Before creating Bellars Harris Wealth Management in May 2020, Tim was senior vice president, financial advisor and portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch. Previously, he was vice president, financial advisor and portfolio manager at UBS. Earlier in his career, Tim worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York City as the national director of estate planning investments.
He began his career at Northwestern Mutual/ Robert W. Baird in New York City, specializing in estate planning.
He is a graduate of the Industrial & Labor Relations School of Cornell University. Active in community organizations, Tim has served on the board of directors for the YMCA, Rotary International, United Way, Westin Residences, and Tidewater Arts Outreach. He and his family are members of Community Leadership Partners within the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
Tim grew up in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, and later spent summers in Lavallette, New Jersey. Today he and his wife, Claudia, split their time between Hampton Roads, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
