How we work and what we’re about
We believe that the relationship is the business. It means doing what’s right for our clients – period. We enjoy a large degree of trust, which is essential to developing lasting and successful relationships.
-
Our established team approach
Serving our clients is a collaborative effort. Each of our team members will have a shared interest in serving our clients, applying and combining their skills sets, knowledge and more than 125 years of combined experience. While each of our clients will have a lead advisor, they will also enjoy the benefit of each advisor’s unique perspective.
-
Our uncompromising commitment to client communication
At a minimum, every client will have an annual or semi-annual meeting. Additionally, clients will have a scheduled monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly calls. The frequency of calls and meeting will be up to the client’s preference. Of course, will be welcome to call or visit us anytime they need. We usually see our clients at informal gatherings once or twice a year as well. The high level of touch allows our family to truly know your family. It allows us to stay abreast in your evolving developments in your life.
-
We focus on serving a select number of families
Each advisor works with a limited number of families. By working with fewer families, we get to know you and your family better. For us that’s what it’s all about.
-
We offer objective advice and recommendations
These days it seems like some financial firms focus more on pushing products than on what is best for each client’s situation. That’s not us. We are not subjected to any corporate mandates, such as meeting investment quotas or steering our clients to particular investments. We manage money in our clients’ best interest – period.
-
We serve as your voice of reason
We apply our knowledge of behavioral finance to sway our clients from financial decisions that may be clouded by emotion, particularly during down markets – which can lead to irrational behavior detrimental to their financial well-being. It’s one of the many major ways we look out for our clients.
-
Our longevity and continuity
We are a third-generation practice. We trace our roots back to 1961 with gentlemen Craig Slingluff and Mike Puopolo. Today we stand on their shoulders, just as Axel Bellars, Maja Bellars, Zach Harris, and Laura Savage – the third generation of our practice stands on our shoulders. You can be confident that our practice is going to be here for your family for years to come.
